Will 2015 Be Any Different?

Every year we go through the New Year's Resolutions spill. Quite frankly I never got that serious about making resolutions. I mean after all, as a mom your kids make your resolutions for you, right? Yeah sure there was the fleeting thought, Hey I would like to do that next year, but the thought usually flew out of my mind as quickly as it entered. (Maybe that is from being a mommy too, some-timers as I call it. Sometimes my mind works, sometimes it doesn't. Who knows.) Well not this year! 2015 will not be a year that I throw away! Here is my plan for attempting to make the best of this year.

New Year's Resolution: Pay Attention in Church- Free Printable

A new year always brings with it new year's resolutions. What better resolution than to spend more time with the person who means the most to you. No not a girlfriend, boyfriend, mom, dad, or spouse. Some one more important: God. Today I have some (more specifically four!) free printables for you to print and give to your child to help them learn to pay attention in church. Instead of doodling super heroes, dolls or who knows what else, these printables will encourage them to doodle about the message. And hopefully they will be learning important information along the way.

DIY Decorative Throw Pillows

Decorating my home at Christmas time is one of the few times during the year that I go "all out" on the decorations. Sure other times you may find a decoration here or there but at Christmas even by bed gets decorated! This year I splurged and purchased a beautiful poinsettia bedspread complete with bed skirt and shams. To make the bed complete, I wanted decorative throw pillows to go on top. When I started pricing them I about fainted in the store! $40 for ONE twelve inch throw pillow. Mind you it was beautiful, it said "Merry Christmas" but not $40 beautiful! And I wanted more than one, more like three or four. $160 for pillows was NOT in my budget. It was not until I was walking through the dollar store that my eureka moment came. No One Will Remember Anyway

The Christmas Season is upon us and it is always an interesting time of year. Some people love the Christmas season and all the activities it brings but others dread to see it come. I guess there are many different reasons but working as a 911 dispatcher for many years, it amazes me to see the number of people who are depressed due to lack of money during this time of year. Some people can not take it any longer and you can put two and two together to figure out the outcome. I'll just say it is not good. You would think that I would remember that but I have found myself down and out on more than one occasion. But then my mama told me some good news.

Hello Sanity! I have missed you...

I cannot believe that it has been several months since I have blogged! I do miss it and think of posting from time to time but life has been a bit crazy here lately. Not in a bad way, but in a good way that I am going to share more about soon. New life changes, new hobbies, new accomplishments, new projects, yep I am going to have a lot to share in the days to come. But today I want to remind you of something that I needed to be reminded of but did not even realize it. Pull up a chair and lets have one of those "mama/ child" conversations.
