It was a little over 5 years ago we first started doing Advent as a family. I can not even begin to tell you how much it changed our perspective in the meaning of Christmas over the years. So today I want to help you get this tradition started in your family!
Advent wreaths can be pricey but they do not have to be. In the picture above we had young kids helping with the candles (with adult supervision of course) so I wanted something short and stable so no one got burned. I bought a 3$ wreath from Walmart and 5 candles from the dollar store. These candles are not the tier candles like what is normally used but rather just simple short jar candles. Each year we have readings to go along with lightning the candle. This year I have created a free printable for you to use! Simply click the photo to be taken to a downloadable version!
