Mom guilt. That moment when you feel like a failure. The moment your child says or does something that you wish you could have or would have stopped before it happened. Being a mom is hard! Really hard! I mean we didn't get an owners manual for our kids at the hospital! Or did we? Do we need to be so hard on ourselves?

Dust and River Beds
Dust. I hate it. Don't you? It sits on the top of our television, on the top of a bookshelf and even gets on the bottoms of your feet as you walk through the house. Ahhhhh I can't stand dirt on the bottom of my feet! But I hate the dust, that fine dust, that comes when someone drops a plate or a cup and it shatters everywhere. Quick, grab the broom before someone gets cut. And don't you dare come around as you clean without shoes on. But I hate dust in a river bed even more.

Are Family Devotions Important?
Do you do devotions with your family? Truth be told I did not until several years ago. For me it is important to raise my children in the ways of the Lord. But the busyness of life kept me from taking time daily to talk with my kids much about the Lord. I mean face it. If you are not very intentional, you could go through life without teaching them a lot of things. The point is when you want your kids to learn something new, you are very intentional about making sure they are taught. God is not different. You have to MAKE IT HAPPEN! But are they getting anything out of it? Is it making a difference? Keep reading. You might be surprised at what you learn!

Hello Sanity! I have missed you...
I cannot believe that it has been several months since I have blogged! I do miss it and think of posting from time to time but life has been a bit crazy here lately. Not in a bad way, but in a good way that I am going to share more about soon. New life changes, new hobbies, new accomplishments, new projects, yep I am going to have a lot to share in the days to come. But today I want to remind you of something that I needed to be reminded of but did not even realize it. Pull up a chair and lets have one of those "mama/ child" conversations.

Out of Control
I can't stand it! I am sure not many people like to admit it and neither do I. When things are out of my control, it drives me nuts!! I think that is why I get so anxious over certain things. Take for example my son's upcoming surgery. I can not be in there while they operate, I can not do the surgery myself, nor can I do anything if, Lord forbid, something goes wrong. But today I have had such a peace come over me. And it all happened from this view!

Almost Gone Forever
Click. Click. Click.
Lowering my hand, I press play. Hum, not bad. Now that one, it is good. And that one, hum, I think I'll just do a way with it. I'll do it later.
And with that I slipped my camera in my pocketbook.
